Tamiya German Tank Panther Ausf.D [1:35]Item No: 35345

This 1:35 scale Tamiya model kit accurately replicates the Panther Ausf.D, the first production variant of Germany’s iconic WWII Panther tank. Entering combat during the Battle of Kursk in July 1943, the Ausf.D was designed to deliver a balanced combination of firepower, armor protection, and mobility. Its long-barreled 7.5cm KwK 42 L/70 gun, sloped frontal armor, and 700hp engine made it one of the most formidable tanks of the war. Despite early mechanical issues, the Panther quickly proved capable of destroying Soviet armor at long range and had a lasting influence on armored vehicle design. The kit measures 254mm in length and 101mm in width, and is based on comprehensive examination of the only surviving original Ausf.D. It features highly accurate detailing, including the distinct cast metal texture of the mantlet, steel plate surfaces, and Ausf.D-specific equipment such as turret-mounted smoke dischargers. The model includes realistic belt-type tracks, two crew figures (a full figure and a torso), and three marking options for vehicles that participated in the Battle of Kursk. This is a highly detailed model suitable for experienced builders. Paint and glue are required for assembly and are sold separately.
