This plastic model assembly kit depicts the Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8 and the specialized A-8 R2 variant, designed to combat the long-range Allied bombing campaigns of 1944. The Fw 190 was one of the Luftwaffe’s most effective front-line fighters, and the A-8 variant, armed with four 20mm cannons and two 13mm machine guns, was the most produced version. The R2 sub-variant upgraded two of the 20mm cannons to 30mm guns and added armor protection, specifically for bomber interception missions. This kit allows you to build either the A-8 or R2 variant, with parts for both early and late production versions. The model includes accurate details such as the armored canopy and armor panel stickers for the R2, as well as two types of propellers. Additionally, a pilot figure is provided, along with five decal options for different markings. The finished model measures 219 mm in length and 190 mm in width. (Glue and paint not included.)
