This 1/48 scale plastic model kit recreates the Bristol Beaufort Mk.I, the RAF Coastal Command’s rugged twin‑engine torpedo bomber that entered service in November 1939. Initially designed to deliver 18-inch torpedoes, the Beaufort quickly proved its versatility by conducting conventional bombing raids—striking Hamburg’s oil storage in May 1940 and targeting Wehrmacht positions along the French coastline after the fall of France. Capable of carrying 250 lb to 500 lb high‑explosive bombs or torpedoes, the Mk.I remained a vital asset in maritime and land‑attack roles through 1942. The completed model measures 284 mm in length with a 368 mm wingspan and is built from 231 precision‑molded plastic parts plus 86 additional components. The kit features a fully detailed cockpit with instrument panels and crew stations, finely replicated Pegasus engine nacelles, realistic torpedo and bomb racks, separate ailerons and flaps, and detailed main and nose undercarriage bays. An optional open or closed bomb‑bay configuration enhances display versatility.
