This 1:72 scale double kit pairs the revolutionary Messerschmitt Me 262A-1a—the world’s first operational jet fighter—with the legendary North American P-51D Mustang, renowned as the finest piston-engined escort of WWII. Recreate the dramatic late-war dogfights over Europe, where Me 262s, with their swept wings, twin Jumo 004 turbojets and nose-mounted 30 mm cannons, were relentlessly pursued by Mustang formations powered by Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and carrying underwing drop tanks. Both kits are based on exhaustive study of wartime photographs and surviving examples, faithfully capturing key details such as jet-intake sculpting, Mustang laminar-flow wings, cockpit instrumentation and ordnance pylons. The set comprises 118 parts and includes sprues, decals, paints, glue and a brush to complete both models straight from the box.
