This 1:48 scale assembly kit recreates the Lockheed Martin® F-35®B Lightning II®, the STOVL (Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing) variant of the fifth-generation stealth multirole fighter developed under the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. Designed for operations from aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships, the F-35B features a lift fan mounted forward of the engine and a 3BSM (3-Bearing Swivel Module) nozzle for vectored thrust. Despite its complex propulsion system, it retains low observability and sensor fusion capabilities across multiple domains. The kit offers three configurable build options—parked, short takeoff, and vertical landing—and features integrally molded RAM panel detail, detailed ducting and nozzle geometry, and a multi-part nozzle assembly for realistic structural representation. The lift fan is integrated with the nose gear bay for accurate internal layout, and the model includes optional control surface positions. Weapons include AIM-9X and AIM-120C missiles, and GBU-12 and GBU-32 guided bombs. A display stand is provided for the vertical landing pose.
