Revell Gift Set – Northrop F-89 Scorpion 75th Anniversary [1:48]
Item No: 05650

This 1:48 scale plastic model kit celebrates the 75th anniversary of Northrop’s pioneering F-89 Scorpion, the U.S. Air Force’s first two-seat all-weather jet fighter. Comprising 120 precision-molded parts, the completed model measures 339 mm in length with a 368 mm wingspan and faithfully reproduces the distinctive wingtip fuel/rocket canisters that held FFAR missiles and auxiliary fuel on the D-series. The cockpit is richly detailed with photo-etched seatbelts and instrument decals, while the airframe features finely engraved panel lines, control surfaces, landing-gear bays and intake plenums. A versatile decal sheet provides multiple historic schemes, and clear, illustrated instructions guide assembly. Recommended for ages 13 + with a Skill Level 5 rating, this kit offers advanced modelers an authentic and challenging build of one of the most heavily armed interceptors ever flown.
