The twin-engine F-82 Twin Mustang gained fame during the Korean War, but it also played a key defensive role in the United States, particularly in Alaska. As tensions rose with the threat of Soviet bombers carrying nuclear weapons, modified versions of the F-82F and F-82G were adapted for harsh northern conditions and re-designated F-82H. These aircraft formed the backbone of America’s all-weather air defense until replaced by more advanced jet fighters. This 1:72 scale model kit includes four sprues of injection-moulded parts, injection-moulded canopy hoods, detailed PUR resin components, and photo-etched parts. The decal sheet provides markings for four Alaskan-based aircraft—two in overall black, and two in natural metal with red-painted wing tips and tail surfaces. Two options feature underwing fuel tanks adorned with bald eagle head artwork.
