Bachmann Class 47/4 47435 BR Blue [OO Gauge]Item No: 35-414
Finished in pristine BR Blue and representing locomotive 47435 during the late 1970s–early 1980s (Era 7), this Bachmann Branchline model captures the iconic ETH-fitted Class 47/4 with an array of fine detail and prototypical accuracy. Notable tooling variations include glazed domino headcode panels, twin bufferbeam brackets denoting a Crewe-built machine, round buffers, Serck radiator grilles, ribbed exhaust panels, a Spanner Mk3 boiler, and 1,250-gallon water tanks with chutes. Additional details such as cab-front-mounted ETH gear, full cab roof vents, single-arm wipers, plated bogie cab steps, and a Stones speedo drive complete the specification. Mechanically, the model features a five-pole twin-shaft motor with twin flywheels, all-wheel drive and pickups, and diecast construction throughout for dependable, smooth performance on second radius curves or greater. A Plux22 decoder socket is fitted for easy DCC installation, while deluxe versions include motorised radiator fans and tinted glazing. All versions come with directional lighting, cab and engine room lights (DCC control), and separately applied metal details including etched fan grilles and sprung buffers. The livery is applied using accurate BR colour specs with multi-stage tampo printing, while sound-fitted variants include twin speakers and an ESU LokSound V5 decoder featuring bespoke recordings from real Class 47s. A fine representation of a quintessential BR workhorse, 47435 is ideal for any 1970s/1980s diesel-era layout.
