Built between 1989 and 1993 by Brush Traction, the 100-strong Class 60 fleet—nicknamed ‘Tugs’—was designed for Britain’s heaviest freight duties and remains in use with operators such as GB Railfreight. This model incorporates the updated Next18 DCC decoder socket and Zimo MS590N18 sound decoder, offering a full suite of sound functions including engine startup sequences, horns, braking, flange squeal and ambient effects.
