This 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit represents the German Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf.E/F, a light tank that played a significant role during the early stages of WWII. Following the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, Nazi Germany adopted the Czech-built LTvz38 light tank, which was re-designated the 38(t). The 38(t) featured riveted and welded armor along with a 3.7cm gun. The Ausf.E and F variants were an improved version with added armor for better protection and were deployed during the initial phase of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. The model measures 132mm in length and 62mm in width. It faithfully reproduces the 38(t)’s distinctive riveted armor and includes parts to recreate fender-top stowage boxes, which were commonly added by front-line units. The assembly-type tracks feature single-piece straight sections, accurately capturing the upper run “sag.” Additionally, the engine grille mesh is replicated using a photo-etched component for enhanced realism. The kit also includes a commander figure to be installed in the hatch and comes with two Eastern Front marking options. (Glue and paint not included.)
