Trumpeter German Bismarck Battleship [1:350]
Item No: 05358

This 1/350 scale model kit from Trumpeter recreates the legendary German battleship Bismarck, one of the most iconic warships of World War II. Launched in 1939 and entering service in August 1940, the Bismarck boasted a displacement of 50,000 tons and was considered one of the most formidable and heavily protected battleships of its era. During her first and only combat mission, she sank HMS Hood in under ten minutes in the Battle of the Denmark Strait, before being crippled by torpedoes from Swordfish aircraft launched by HMS Ark Royal. Unable to maneuver, she was surrounded and sunk by British naval forces on May 27, 1941. The kit includes over 1,200 parts, featuring a two-part slide-molded hull, finely rendered wood-deck pattern, photo-etched components, and a metal anchor chain. Also included are a display stand and nameplate for professional presentation. Model dimensions: Length 715.7 mm, Beam 100.2 mm.
