The Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 (GSX1300R), introduced in 1998 at the “INTERMOTO 98” show in Germany, is now faithfully recreated in 1:12 scale by Tamiya. This plastic assembly model kit has an overall length of 178 mm and a width of 71 mm, capturing the aggressive styling and cutting-edge design of the Hayabusa. The model features a 175hp inline 4-cylinder engine with 4 DOHC valves, accurately represented with attention to detail. The unique cowling design, with vertically positioned twin headlights, is faithfully reproduced, along with the clear orange parts for the turn signals. The upper cowling and fuel tank are molded as one piece for ease of assembly.

For added realism, metallic stickers are included for the front fork inner tube, and screws are used for reliable attachment of the engine, cowling, and swing arms to the frame. The tires are made of real rubber, enhancing the authenticity of the finished model. Additionally, side cowls can be removed after assembly to display the finely detailed interior components. The kit includes decals for the Hayabusa logos used between 1999 and 2002 and masking stickers for easy painting of the cowlings. A brake caliper at the front is a particular highlight, and the model captures the quick acceleration and performance of the real Hayabusa perfectly.
