The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana made its exciting debut in 1980 at the IFMA trade show in Cologne, Germany, and was released to the public in 1981. Known for its aggressive and bold design by Hans Muth, this plastic model assembly kit captures the essence of the Katana with remarkable attention to detail. The 4-cylinder DOHC engine is accurately reproduced, showcasing the mechanical intricacies with ignition cords, brake pipes, and instrument cables depicted using vinyl tubing for added realism. To enhance the model’s strength and durability, metal screws are included for critical components such as wheel axles. The solid synthetic rubber tires feature realistic tread patterns and are mounted onto meticulously recreated star-shaped die-cast wheels, faithfully representing Suzuki’s iconic design.
