This 1:72 scale plastic model assembly kit depicts the North American P-51D Mustang, transformed from its original RAF-spec design by the installation of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine to become one of WWII’s most celebrated escort fighters. Renowned for its long range, high-speed performance and formidable armament, the P-51D was capable of protecting Allied bombers deep into enemy territory and back to base. After the war it served with distinction in the Korean War and remained in service with various air arms into the early 1980s. This kit comprises 53 precision parts on sprues, plus instruction and paint-layout sheets and decals to complete an authentic replica. The finished model measures 136 mm in length with a wingspan of 157 mm. (Glue and paint not included.)
