This 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit depicts the revolutionary Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a, the first jet-powered aircraft to see combat. Production of the Me 262 A-0 began in April 1944, but it was not until November 1944 that the fighter version, the A-1a, entered production. The aircraft was equipped with four 30mm cannons in the nose, designed to counter Allied bombers and escort fighters. The late production versions included additional features like rocket launchers mounted under the nose and wings. The kit replicates the unique form of the Me 262, including the engine nacelles under each wing, and includes highly detailed features like the nose-mounted cannons and cockpit. The canopy and gun bay access panels can be assembled in either open or closed positions. Additionally, the kit includes R4M air-to-air rockets with launchers, as well as W.Gr 21 rocket launchers. The nose wheel well is fitted with a die-cast weight for stability. The kit also comes with a pilot figure and decals for four different markings. Glue and paint not included.
