This 1:48 scale plastic model kit represents the Martin B-26G Marauder, the ultimate production variant of the medium bomber designed by the Glenn L. Martin Company. Measuring 387mm in length with a 453mm wingspan, the model comprises 380 detailed components. It comes in a box measuring 410 × 260 × 55mm. The B-26G incorporated key design changes to address prior operational difficulties, including a modified wing incidence angle increased by 3.5 degrees to improve takeoff and landing stability. The internal fuel capacity was enhanced, and a fuselage-top venting mast was introduced. Standardization of onboard equipment across U.S. Army and Navy requirements marked this variant as the most refined of the Marauder series. The G-model also featured a larger life raft and a revised access hatch to accommodate it. A total of 893 B-26G aircraft were produced, serving prominently in the European Theater with multiple U.S. Army Air Force bombardment groups. The B-26G was also adopted by the Free French Air Force, operating first over Italy and southern France before extending their missions deeper into continental Europe. The final operational sortie of French-operated Marauders was flown on April 25, 1945.
