This 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit represents the early production P-47D Thunderbolt, famously known as the “Razorback” due to the unique shape of the fuselage behind the cockpit. The P-47 was a high-performance fighter and bomber that served as a mainstay of the US Army Air Force during WWII, escorting bombers over Germany and executing ground-attack missions. With an overall length of 230mm and a wingspan of 259mm, the kit captures the robust form of the Thunderbolt, including separate flaps that can be attached in either the up or down position. The engine cowling flaps and intercooler air outlets can be assembled open or closed. Additional parts include 500lb bombs, rocket launchers, and two types of drop tanks. The kit comes with a pilot figure and decals for two different markings. Glue and paint not included.
