The Hornby HM7000-21TXS is a plug-in sound decoder featuring both Bluetooth® connectivity and full DCC control for locomotives equipped with a 21-pin (NEM660) socket. It supplies up to 1 A continuous and 1.5 A peak motor current—suitable for most OO and HO scale engines—and incorporates a high-quality “sugar-cube” miniature speaker. Assorted speaker enclosures are provided to optimise sound quality within different locomotive bodies. Use the free HM7000 app to download and install sound packs via Bluetooth®, then swap them at will. For enhanced reliability over dirty track or complex pointwork, add the optional R7377 Power Bank during initial installation to maintain power and sound during brief outages.
