This 1/72 scale “Platinum Edition” model kit of the German Submarine Type IX C/40 delivers an advanced, highly detailed replica with 800 parts and a finished size of 106.3 cm (L) × 9.5 cm (W) × 22.5 cm (H). The Type IX C/40 was a long-range Atlantic variant featuring an Atlantic bow, retractable snorkel mast, and reinforced armament including a twin 2 cm flak and a 3.7 cm AA gun. This premium kit includes photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels, a self-adhesive wooden deck, movable snorkel and extendable periscopes, rigging yarn, a rotating twin flak mount and decals for eight U-boats (U 997, U 995, U 295, U 324, U 307, U 1023, U 1002, U 1105), making it ideal for experienced modelers (Level 5).
